Description: The Rugosa Rose was a originally introduced to North America from Europe, where the hips were commonly used to make jellies and teas. It is a hardy species, maturing into dense shrubs 4-8 feet in height and a mature spread of 4-6 feet. It is relatively easy to maintain, long lived and its reddish-purple flowers are very colorful.

Site Conditions: The Rugosa Rose prefers moist, well drained soild, but can also to tolerant to drier soil conditions. It does best in full sun conditions, but can tolerate partial shade conditions as well.
